The practice

The environment communicates trust, competence, comfort, and care — or it doesn't. Private healthcare is a precise brief and there is very little room for being neutral.

One One Ten has designed private clinics for plastic surgery and diagnostic imaging, surgical and veterinary care. Team members also bring a broad base of previous healthcare design experience at major urban and rural hospitals across central Canada.

In each case, the challenge is the same: build an environment that functions at the highest clinical level and signals that elevation of care unmistakably to every patient, staff member, and specialist who enters it.

The approach

Clinical performance and architectural quality are not in tension in One One Ten's HEAL projects — they are the same objective approached from different angles. The studio designs to operational requirements, patient flow, regulatory standards, and the specific culture of each practice, bringing the same attention to materiality, light, and spatial proportion that defines the residential and commercial work.

Private clinics are not hospitals. They are intimate, precise, patient-centric care environments where the design either earns patron and staff confidence or undermines it.
